PDO Threads
PDO Threads are a minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment that tightens skin (smooths wrinkles), while improving tone and texture. This treatment naturally induces collagen production by increasing blood flow to the treatment area.

How do PDO Threads work?
PDO Threads are placed subdermally to stimulate neocollagenesis in the treatment areas. The newly formed collagen then provides structure and support to the skin, lifting and smoothing textured areas.

What are PDO Threads?
PDO Threads are biodegradeable polydioxanone sutures that are embedded into the skin subdermally, activating fibroblasts to stimulate collagen production. These sutures have been used for about 40 years in many medical fields such as orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, and ophthalmology. PDO Threads are one of the safest aesthetic treatments available as they are minimally invasive with very little tissue reaction, with no scarring.

Dr. Lim uses the highest, medical grade quality supplies that is fully FDA approved and trained with the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics (AAFE) to provide the best techniques possible.

Two Types: Smoothening and Lifting
Dr. Lim utilizes two different PDO Threading techniques to best fit your aesthetic needs.

Smooth threads are for skin rejuvenation and tightening. Dr. Lim applies the threads in a grid pattern that tightens the skin. This smoothes out wrinkles and texture on the face. When applied subdermally, the threads reduce adipose (fat) tissue, which also provides a skin tightening effect.

Lifting threads do just as they say and provide an elevated look to the face. This procedure will lift sagging skin around the eyes, neck, and face.
